Beer League / Master Racer -Ski Recommendations

Question to all --I am a beer league racer who is a better skier than racer.  I would like to change this. Having moved back to the Midwest after 7 years in Colorado I am currently "racing" on a pair of 2010 Volkl Mantras in a 185 length.  I am looking to purchase a used pair of "race" skis that would be a little quicker with more snap in the turns and am debating if I should purchase a pair of Volkl P60 GC Race stock -2005 skis - listed for $150, (they may take less).

OR….. should I try to look for something newer at the end of the season...I don't want to spend more than $300-$400 in total. If I do go for something newer....what can you recommend?

I am 49 years old, 5'11" 205, strong expert, and like to go fast.

Any advise / recommendations would be appreciated. Thx

I started Masters racing last season.  GS, SG and DH.   I picked up some ladies FIS 21m GS ski's in 180 and some Salomon SG ski's in 201 that I use in DH and SG.  Figure out what disciplines you want to race first.

I don't know the r of those Volkls but their age leans me towards these...http://www.epicski.com/t/116996/atomic-d2-race-stock-gs-183-23m-x16-bindings-good-condition-275

ScotsSkier has sold me great new and used gear.

Mastersracer has a pile of used race ski's he is selling for a friend, priced right.

Hope that helps.
