Comments: I skied these for a couple days at Mammoth. Very fun ski. Makes a solid carve with a lot of pop out of the turn. Great edge hold. It’s a ski you can relax on and make easy turns or really get on it and lay out big GS turns with a lot of energy. You can get air unweighting with the rebound they have. Easy to turn in all turn shapes, they really slice up the harpack or the softpack. I could make sweet fall line turns down the steeps and chutes, and really open them up with high speed Super G turns when it was not so steep. They love to rip, I went as fast as I could and they still felt solid, just have to keep them on edge slightly. Blasted through the windpack at speed with no problem. Didn’t ski any real deep or nasty snow, but from the impression I got from everything I skied on they should handle it fine, although they are a little narrower waisted than a midfat, so won’t have quite as much flotation. Really could find no weaknesses though.

Westcat & All,
Agree with the bit about being able to RELAX!...I bought the V3. The choice between it and the P50s (Platinum/Motion Energy) was tough, the P50, particularly the Motion Energy, is an incredible design, but was essentially just a little too fast for me right at this particular time. The V3's a little light in the hard, frozen stuff, but in anything else in NewEngland...gives me all the cheap little short-radius thrills I want, and most of all...lets me have FUN...I'm not having to tug at the reigns 50% of the time..like I felt I was with the P50s.
