I'm 35 and been skiing on and off since I was 12. I'm 5'11" and weigh 250lbs. I ski exclusively in the East, mostly Sunday River, Attitash, and Bretton Woods but I will be trying Jay soon. I ski about a dozen times a year but used to ski 30-35 when I was younger. I probably won't get back up to 35 days a year anytime soon but we may buy or rent a place up North next year. I would consider myself an advanced skier. I can ski any trail but probably don't look that great on double blacks or in the bumps or trees. I currently ski on the Dynastar Intuiv 77s in 167 length that are least 5 years old. I think they're a little short but they're good on groomers. I bought them on impulse when I blew out an edge on my K2 Mod Xs. Those were 180s that I never felt comfortable on. They seemed really heavy. My Dynastars don't do well in crud, the trees or powder though. I want something that will be better in those areas. I'm thinking something wider with rocker and that is not too demanding since I am not an expert yet but that I won't overpower with my weight and that has more float. I just bought Atomic Hawx 120 boots from a respected boot fitter. I liked the 110s but another boot fitter thought I needed more flex and suggested I try them even though they didn't have them. I'm skiing Sunday River this weekend with the boots for the first time and was thinking of demoing some new boards once I get used to the new boots. I haven't looked at new skis in years so all the options are overwhelming. I'm thinking something between 80-98 width since this will pretty much be the only ski in my quiver. I've been looking at these but am open to anything. I'd like to hear what other skiers would suggest based on my weight, ability, and where I'm skiing. I plan on demoing a few paris before buying.
