2013 atomic blackeye ti 174 or 2010 nordica nemesis 169

May seem like a strange choice.  I am 5ft 10 in, 150 lbs, advanced skier, I demoed the blackeye ti 174 last year - great ski - very smooth, cut through crud, some float on the bit of powder I found, and nice carver, too.  Not too demanding.  Tip seemed a bit floppy, but didn't cause problems.

I am looking for all mountain, some powder flotation, good in bumps, nice carving, power through crud, and not too much effort.

How would the nemesis compare with the blackeye ti?  underfoot the nemesis is 98 mm vs 82 for blackeye.  Would this make turn initiation harder on nemesis?  Can you think of any other major differences I would notice?

Found a pair of 2010 nemesis 169 at a nearby shop - unused for $300.  They have small bumps under the rear bindings, but probably that wouldn't cause big problems.

All thoughts appreciated!

Welcome to EpicSki.  I think 169cm is a bit short for you in a ski with tip rocker such as the Nemesis.  I'm about 5' 7-8" and ski 170s.  My son is 6'0" and skis 178s.  I ski Nordica Steadfasts which have the same construction as the Nemesis and love them.  How well a 98mm ski works as your only ski will depend partly on where you normally ski and how advanced you really are.  I spent one season skiing almost exclusively on Icelantic Shamans, 110mm, and while they are excellent skis, they are much slower edge to edge than the Steadfast at 90mm.    It wasn't difficult to initiate a turn, just slower.  If you ski in the east or midwest where there tends to be a fair amount of ice, it will be harder to hold the edge on a 98mm ski.  If you haven't skied anything that wide, I highly recommend you do before buying.  Try to demo a ski with that is similar if you can't demo a Nemesis.  The Nemesis is great ski, I know some women at Red Lodge who ski them and wouldn't consider any other ski.
