Ski hire/transportation recommendations for Les Menuires

Thread Starter

Going to Les Menuires (with about 8-9 others) in March. We are trying to decide whether to brings skis with us (we're spending a couple of days in London first) or just rent them at Les Menuires.

Any recommendations on ski hire in Les Menuires? We're staying in the Reberty 2000 region, so something close by would be ideal. We'd prefer a shop that rents high-end, well-maintained equipment. Don't need boots, just skis/poles.

Also any recommendations for transport from Moutier to Les Menuires and from Les Menuires to Geneva would also be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any info

Skiied that area lot. As you are in one of the less glitzy areas you are indeed wise to check the quality of the skis on offer. The good news is that Val Thorens is just up the road and will have late model skis available.

When you are there, the sun is shining and the links are open make sure that you ski over to the Le Bel Air  at the top of the gondola lift up from Courchevel 1650.. The south-facing three tier terrace outside has to be one of the best spots in the Alps to soak up all that mountain sunshine and people/celebrity watch. If you are a large group BOOK.

The Cime de Caron run was my favourite. If the resort gets busy the runs off the back of the Cime de Caron down towards Orelle.
 are often quieter.
