Coloradoans: Question about Vail EPIC Pass - Planning for 2013/2014

Thread Starter

I'm looking at getting the EPIC Pass for next ski area. I want unlimited/unrestricted skiing at the Colorado Vail resorts.

Based on old news articles, the passes became available on March 16, 2012 so I'm figuring they will go for sale in Mid-March for 2013/14 season.

If you buy it right away, are there any skiing benefits available for the end of the 2012/2013 ski season in March and April at all of the resorts? What about just as A-Basin only since they sometimes are open until May/June?

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but this question didn't seem to quite fit in any specific forum.

You won't get any benefits for the current season. Not sure if you want u limited skiing at all the resorts but you can save like 150 by getting the epic local instead of the full pass. You het 14 days at Vail and beaver creek but are blacked out Christmas- New years, MLK day and presidents weekend. That's blacked out at Vail and beaver creek only every where is good. Unless you don't have a job or plan on skiing mostly at Vail or beaver creek it's harder than you think to use up those 14 days

Nobody knows for sure, you will have to wait and see.

Here is my post from last season which has the early purchase info captured:

It doesn't look like you get anything in CO.

Last season, in Tahoe you got your current day's ticket applied+1 extra future 2012 lift ticket.  If you are super cheap and shady, you could try to obtain a regular walk-up persons' used full price lift ticket at the end of the day, to be used to minimize your season pass purchase.

Prior seasons, in tahoe, you got rest of april, but that seems no longer available.
