Intuition Liner Questions

I'm contemplating getting a pair of HD Race or FX race Intuition liners. The liners will go in Salomon X Max 120 boots. The HD Race is stiffer than the FX, will this liner make it stiffer than the stock liner? I want the flex to be as close to stock as possible. So HD or FX?

Also, I think that I would want to remold the shell of the boot with the new liner. Question is, should I mold the liner first, then remold the shell? Will the heat from the remold of the shell change the mold of the liner? Should I mold both simultaneously?

Originally, I molded the boots at home and they turned out fine. I plan to do the same with the liner and boot again.

Thanks in advance.

I had (have actually) the FX.  According to Intuition, and my results, the are the same stiffness of tongue stock liners.  Wrap Intuition liners add stiffness.  I don't believe that any tongue type liners do.  I am very interested in your results because I have the same boots with the stock liners and they are cold (granted I was spoiled by my last boots).  I would already have the FX liners in my X Max but I down sized.    I love the X Max boot but I'm not overly impressed with the liner.

The liner should mold to the shell as long as the liner isn't too small.  I would only remold the shell as a last resort.  I f the shell fits well now, mold the new liner you get to you foot and shell.  Should be good with that since the shell is working.  Do one at a time and start with the liner.

My XMax are 24.5 and I believe my FX are 25.5.  I'm willing to make you a good deal if that is your size.  Have only been molded once and have 50 days on them.

The Race is stiffer than the FX but the FX is probably more comfortable and would be closer in stiffness to the original Salomon liner.  With boots, it is probably best to do one thing at a time, especially since the X-max plastic goes in one direction and can't really be shrunk, so do the liner first. You probably do not want too much room.  The liner should mold to the boot.
