2012 Hardside or Sidestash?

Hey guys. I currently have the k2 Recoils 169  121-90-115 (got them this summer) . I am also 31 about 5'8 and roughly 220pds.

Skill level........past beginner but no where near a pro.......was in Big Sky and was riding blues no problem, the odd black and one crazy black by accident.

Received about 8inches on day and the recoils performed prettey decent around the resort in bigsky except when I went in a bit of deeper stuff or tried to follow my friends into the trees.

I have a line on either the 2012 sidestash or hardsides new unmounted for under 300$ and I have a set of bindings sitting on a old pair of volkls I have not used in a few years.

I am heading out west to a few different places around Banff and then if time permitting Revelstoke. I am hoping to pick up a decent ski that can handle more of the mountain as I felt the Recoils excelled more on the groomed terrain.

Has anyone taken either of these 2012 skis on demo?  I am aware the sidestash is wider and more for BC but it might be a nice compliment for the recoil.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any opinions on the matter. I was looking primarly at the Volkl Mantra for next season...........should I just stash my money away all summer and get them? as they have some pretty damn good reviews.

Both have flat tail and are part of K2 side/bc line. I haven't skied any, but I would guess the sidestash is a better quiver option to your recoils. I don't see much that you would be able to handle with the hardside that you can't with the recoils.

I would go for the sidestash, and the price looks good!!
