New England Weather, Cruel and Fickle, Thou Art My Friend No More

.... this after ten days of brutally frigid desert-dry weather ....  I have seen this pattern way, way, way too many times in my career. Coloradans, I feel sorry for you in your drought. I really do. But at least you don't routinely get RAIN in the heart of your season instead of snow, flanked oh-so-closely on either side by icebox cold. AAARGH!  Okay, I feel better now. Back to your regularly scheduled stoke.

What's been so painful about this winter in New England is the ABSENCE OF SNOW.  January was cold but bone dry.  And now this?

You've gotta be real committed (or committable) to ski here 3 days a week, like I do.

Then again, skied the hardpack all day today at Berkshire East, absolutely loved it.  So did the kids.  "Best day ever."  Go figure.

Second half of December was awesome in Maine. Apparently that was some kind of test to get us to pay attention in advance of the normal blight queued up in the pipeline.
