Lets join in celebrating Bob Barnes' Birthday! - Page 2

No, Bazzer--that's me. Yes, rockered Armada skis, helmet, and everything--guilty as charged. Those trees are very tight in spots (and aspen trunks have very little "padding") and even I am not so stubborn as to insist on my slalom skis and wool hats in every condition!

Apparently, black and white photographs add a few pounds. I like that!

Best regards,
Bob

Glad you found the goods!

(I knew I'd catch grief if I posted those incriminating pictures with the big fat planks....)

Yes, Kevin--that's right. I've always said that fat skis are good for backcountry skiing, where in an emergency you can use one for shelter and burn the other all night long.

Bob, in honor of your birthday, I skied a bump run yelling POLE, and spent the better share of another ski run doing pivot slips.

Just for you!biggrin.gif

I surmise that my not so subtle attempt at humor went over with all the grace of a lead balloon. That’s what I get for using that ridiculous emoticon (biggrin.gif,) to imply irony and sarcasm rather than by constructing a more concise or perhaps more readily interpreted statement. I'll try harder next time.

Belated Happy Bday!

Happy Belated Bob,

If you are going to be up near snowmass this week, give me a buzz. I believe you still have my cell..

I'm staying on the mountain at Snowmass and maybe we can catch up with at least a little wine at the end of a day if not a couple of turns.

Here through the 1st.

Dave
