I agree and disagree with Heluva. Please see my response to your post on the General Gear Forum. In order to give better advice, we need to know more about you, your experience, what conditons you prefer and expect, etc. If you like to ski natural snow a lot, go with the 2001-2002 T-Power Cobra X. If you stay away from natural snow and stick to the groomed, go with the Viper. If I myself needed to choose only one of these skis as my one-and-only pair, I'd go with the 2001-2002 T-Power Cobra X. I do have the T-Power from last year and the K2 Mod 7/8 from last year. If I had to give one away and keep the other, I'd keep the K2 Mod 7/8 [this year called Axis] because it will go through anything I encounter, and the T-Power will not. The addition of the 2001-2002 T-Power Cobra X to this year's T-Power line adds what appears to be a really fun, versatile ski. Please share with us more about yourself, because this is one of my favorite subjects and my own advice will depend a lot what sort of skier you are and what kind of skiing you prefer. I'm assuming, by the way, that this will be your one and only pair of skis, so if that assumption is wrong, please say so. Also, let us know if you will consider skis not in the T-Power line.
