Looking for Crested Butte discounted lift tics for spring break

I've read about the gas station and liquor store 2 for 1 passes.  Anybody remember the names of the places?

Do not know about the gas station deal, but if you stay in Gunnison instead of up in the Butte some of the motels should have pretty good ticket deals.  Cheaper lodging and tickets makes staying in Gunnison worth the easy daily drive to ski.  Gunnison has some good reasonably priced restaurants and bars because it is a college town. Also, the motels should have deals on Monarch tickets, which is just a little farther drive than the Butte (in the other direction) from Gunnison, and they often get dumped on bigger, so a possible good alternative for a day of skiing.

Ask the motel if they have ticket deals before you make your reservation.  If you are staying in the town of Crested Butte, or up at the mountain village there are no ticket deals once you get there, unless you already have some kind of lodging/ski package.

In the past Coors had a deal in the Gunnison liquor stores that gave you two for one tickets  if you bought a 12-pack, but I don't know if they are doing it this year.

Don't know if it will be happening at spring break, but the Butte sometimes has a deal where you get a cheaper ticket if you show a season pass from any other ski area, so if you have one bring it along just in case.

Great information and thanks a bunch.  I'll be looking at some of the properties.

Any suggestions on where to rent GOOD gear (skis and one board)?

Sorry, but I can't help with rental info, but I know there are a few shops in Gunnison, Crested Butte and the Mountain Village that do rentals.  They also used to have a free shuttle buses running between Gunnison and the mountain and town of Crested Butte, but I don't know if it is still free.

Thanks anyway.  Just trying to narrow the field.

2 seasons ago Coors Light had a promotion going where if you buy a case of beer you received a buy-one-get-one certificate  You needed to keep your receipt as well as the barcode and certificate.  You then went to CB to finish the transaction....I did it three days in a row.  I remember buying the beer from a liquor store in Gunnison but I don't remember if it had to be from a specific store or not.

Thanks much.  I'll be looking around & spread the word if I find anything -
