Squaw Valley - Good all mountain ski to complement Rossignol S7?

Hello All,

I've got a pair of S7's that I use at Squaw anytime there's fresh snow.  Absolutely love them.

I'm looking for another pair of boards that makes for a great second quiver.

About me:

42 years old.

Advanced/Expert

Favorite lifts: KT, Granite Chief, Silverado, Headwall

5 ft, 11 inches tall

165 lbs

I'd like a lighter & softer ski on runs like north face, saddle, silverado.  Yet my favorite thing of all is high speed on big open groomers, after the crowds disappear of course.  Also need to keep up with my two boys!

I currently own a pair of Volkl Mantra 184's...bought them pretty much "blind" without trying them out.  Big mistake getting the 184's.  They're way to big and stiff.  Lots of fun on open groomers but find them like turning battleships through the moguls.

Any advice on a new ski (and size too!) would be most appreciated.

Happy New Year to all.

Greg

There are a lot of good options.

Nordica Enforcer

Blizzard Bonafide

Line P98

Rossi Experience 98

If you want to stop in The Start Haus, we can help you with some demos.

Thanks a lot, Phil.  I've seen you and Sierra Jim responding a lot on these boards.  Thanks for putting in the time!  I will definitely plan to stop in for my next pair of skis/boots.

Happy New Year.
