I am considering selling these, although I really like them. Used about 15 days since 2011 (10/11 model), skied 3 days since standard tune done by Edgeworks in Denver.  PM if interested.

NEVER MIND.

I really like these skis.

Obviously you figured out that if you sold your hard(er) snow skis it would never snow again, but that if you kept them it would finally dump.

Ha! ... that worked last season, I bought some much skinnier skis (71 or 72), and it did start snowing! I didn't even have to use them for 2 months. I took them to Tahoe, and it snowed feet and feet. Those are just plain old groomer skis, though.

These 84s are my no-new-snow skis ... aka rock and bump skis. They do that really really well. I feel bad turning such nice skis into rock skis, but ... hey -- if I'm not going to ski on rocks, I'm not going to ski.

Just saw this and smiling...

It's funny how sometimes we ski an old ski, and it just works very well. The Fischer 84 seems to be a good match to the conditions Seg finds in a low snow year.

Definately,  I pulled out my old Atomic (lightweight, short, 79 mid) skis for last weekend and had a ton of fun on them.  I forgot how good a ski they really are in low snow conditions.

To be fair, they aren't old* skis, just two seasons, and in great condition. But for some reason I have always had in the back of my mind that I might sell them. Then I ski them and like them a lot;  then in the intervening days I forget that I like them and decide to sell them; then I ski them and like them so I don't sell them, rinse and repeat. I think it's because I ski them on days that are not memorable (as I said, they are my no-new-snow skis).

Now that is one funny asterisk! Segbrown speaks cold truth.

And, I did not mean to call your skis "old", just an under-used member of the quiver.
