new ski choice=so many options

50 y/o fit, male type 3 skier

east coast 90%

groomers 50%, glades 30%, backcountry when ever there is snow

started w head monster 88, - damp, smooth

then moved onto dynastar contact 75 mm under foot-faster, quicker edge-edge but more work in crud and less forgiving

The heads are still made but the dynastars disappeared. I would like to try a newer ski and appreciate the lack of chatter of these two skis. In fact, I hate chatter (maybe that's what led to my divorce?) On a ski, it makes me feel like i am going to lose control. Some people interpret this behavior as 'playfulness' but i do not. I feel playfulness as a ski that stores the energy from a turn or a bump and gives it back later in he turn- 'pop'.

I do like to carve (getting on edge even at the beginning of when you think about turning and holding that edge all the way around the turn) but sometimes I need to smear-like when people get in the way or when i am lazy about speed control. It's nice to have a ski that is forgiving in this regard.

What should I try-atomic crimson ti, fischer progressor 900, fischer motive 80, kastle mx88.

Help, I am so confused.

has anyone at least read a good thread about this? there have been no posts about the dynastar since 2011 - does anyone still ski this? or has it been purged do to some terrible characteristic?
