I am tempted to get a first-person POV camera like the GoPro prior to my trip to Chamonix in March. I find that I rarely stop to take pictures, and never anything that really captures the descent, so it might be nice to have the record. However, although I have greatly appreciated seeing the many epic POV of backcountry adventures, I will be skiing inbounds and find that the cameras look silly when someone is wearing one at a ski area. Maybe I shouldn't mind, but it seems like wearing a camera might peg me unmistakeably as n00b.
If I do get one it would likely be mounted with a chest harness rather than perched on the helmet.
