Accommodation in Bozeman

Hey everyone,

I'm from Europe and I'm planning to ski a couple of days at Bridger Bowl in March so I'm looking for a nice place to stay in Bozeman for 3 or 4 night. Can anyone recommend a hotel or motel in the middle class category?

Welcome to Epicski!  Bridger is a lot of fun.  I was there for the first time last Feb.  Are you going to check out Big Sky at all?  A pretty easy hour drive, if no snow on the road.

Did you notice that the EpicSki Gathering is at Bridger and Big Sky the last week of March?  If your schedule is flexible, you could join in the fun.  Locals will be taking around small groups at all ability levels.

The Gathering is using a new La Quinta.  Has free breakfast and an indoor pool and hot tub I believe.  Address is:

406-585-9300 PH

Where else have you skied in North America?

I've stayed at a lot of the places in Bozeman, all of which are on Travelocity or Expedia.  Most are pretty much interchangeable except the breakfasts at some are better than the others.  I've stayed at Hampton Inn, Best Western GranTree Inn, LaQuinta, Microtel, Days Inn, Comfort Inn, Fairfield Inn.  They are all pretty much on a par with each other.  PM me if one of them interests you in particular and I'll see if I remember anything that differentiates it from the others.  All are at basically the same location in relation to Bridger Bowl.

@marznc: Thanks for the information about the gathering! But I'm leaving March 13th! But I'll be at Big Sky for one week. After that I will go to Bozeman. I thought about driving to Whitefish or Jackson Hole instead but I read so many good things about Bridger Bowl so I decided to stay there! I studied one winter in Boulder so we often went to Winter Park and Copper! It was awesome! Some of the best skiing I ever did!

@sibhusky: Thanks for the ideas for accommodation! I will check the places and I will contact you if I need more information! Thanks.

Sounds like a fun trip!  Bridger is well worth a few days.  Some folks going to the Gathering are more interested in Bridger than Big Sky.  When your trip is closer, create a thread with your dates and you may be able to take a few turns with locals.

When you are in Bozeman, a great place for dinner is The Mint.  It's in the town near Bozeman that's where the airport is actually located.

Hey! I've called around to different hotels and the Best Western GranTree Inn has a decent rate and an awesome breakfast. They give really generous portions and the prices aren't too bad at all! I was quoted a guest room rate of $69.00 for beginning/middle March.  Check out the website if you have a chance - it looks pretty nice on the inside. www.grantreeinn.com  Hope that helps!   I'll be staying here at the same time... hope a huge storm comes thru while I'm there!
