I experimented with ramp angles by using a heel lift between my boot board and liner. While I love the balance I achieved, it lifted me to high in the heel pocket and I started to get really sore. I know I could grind the boot but I would like to explore other options.
I currently have 3mm lifters installed on my boots. Would it be reasonable to put a 5mm lifter on the heel and re-router to get back to DIN specs? What other options might there be besides shimming the heel piece on my bindings.
