What is the best method to create more ramp angle???

Thread Starter

I experimented with ramp angles by using a heel lift between my boot board and liner.  While I love the balance I achieved, it lifted me to high in the heel pocket and I started to get really sore.  I know I could grind the boot but I would like to explore other options.

I currently have 3mm lifters installed on my boots.  Would it be reasonable to put a 5mm lifter on the heel and re-router to get back to DIN specs?  What other options might there be besides shimming the heel piece on my bindings.

Thanks!

tcompton,

Lifting the heels inside the boots doesn't increase the forward lean of the boots where as lifting the heel of the shells will----this may or may not (most likely won't) give you the results you have found so far.  It is possible to increase the instep height of the shell without affecting any thing else.

do you have a slim calf?
