I got 15 days at ABAY this season...who cares.
For me, the ski town I plan to live in is all about how the average skier, skis. I like to be around, and ski with people that rip. I vote Jackson, and Im moving there for a long time, this upcoming October.
This was my first year back skiing and i became a better skier than Coloradans with 10-20 years on me in ski experience. Most of them just dont take it seriously. I only saw all the Hype-Tourist ski resorts tho. And im sure there is hardcore Coloradans but the average just isnt.
I lived in Avon, CO (Beaver Creek and Vail) and didnt like colorado's vibe. Its serious grom ripping and mogul floaters...Always getting yelled at by yellow jackets and patrol, Straight up got a "WARNING" on every Vail Resort except ABAY... Hit or Miss Season snowfall.
Went up to Jackson, immediately sold on the town and ski lifestyle. Its just more hardcore ski orientated. Its like Steamboat on steroids. I was not nearly the best skier on the mountain, not even close.
