Bindings recommendations

Hi,

I'm planning on buying a pair of the 2013 Blizzard Magnums 8.0 ti 172cm and I am completely clueless when it comes to bindings. Hoping to some informed recommendations. I am 5'8, 260. I ski mainly in the midwest but do go out west and ski there for about a week per year. I'd consider myself an intermediate skier having skied my final day on this last trip out west on all blues. I ski groomers exclusively.

Any help you can provide is really appreciated.

Thanks,

I have a STH 12 Driver and no complains at all... easy to click, no pre release, nice solid binding, I have about 15 days on it. You probably should be looking at the STH 14 Driver given your height/weight. Pivot 14 is also very well recommended...

What brand is that?

What's your impression of Marker bindings?

Sorry about that... STHs are Solomon. Salomon STH 14 Driver. and the pivot is Look, so Look Pivot 14. Marker are also good bindings, lots of people have Jester, Griffon and Squire bindings, some people don't like the idea they have too much plastic, but others had been happy with marker bindings for a long time. They are all good bindings. I would look for something in the mid range, assuming a 12, 14 and 16 DIN range. Even though you might be good with the 12 DIN range, you might put too much force on those bindings and a 14 bindings would probably be more stable for you!

Hopefully some of the gear gurus here will show up and give you some more advice, but that's what I would be looking at!

still looking for insight into bindings. What detail should I be looking at when comparing bindings. Any other suggestions to what bindings to put on these. The bindings on the skis I demo'd were Marker Griffons.

Thanks,
