Bought the skis & bindings... now where to get bindings mounted in less than 2 days in NYC?

Hi everyone,

I've just very excitedly bought a pair of Atomic cloud 9 skis! They & bindings are due to arrive on Wednesday. So far I've tried REI, EMS and Paragon in NYC for mounting the bindings, but they can't do them in the 2 days I've got before heading out to Vermont Friday night

Any other recommendations for mounting Atomic bindings on Atomic skiis this week in NYC?

Thanks so much!

Jessica

This isn't gonna help you this time around, but I try to buy either the skis or the bindings or both from the shop that's gonna do the mounting. If you buy skis from A and bindings from B, C isn't going to be particularly motivated to put you at the head of the queue.

Did you bring them in or just call? A friendly face / perhaps a cash tip might make it happen...

Thanks all for your replies so far.

I did some research and got a great price on 2012 model together with bindings - online. I'm not from the US so offering a cash tip will feel very, very awkward (I'm not used to it!)

The hunt continues...

If you can get to the slopes early, the shops at the mountain you're planning to go to can also be able to do ASAP work for you...  Call ahead.

The skis you are using are system bindings right? so should be very fast to mount/check.

Have em done when you get to Vermont...they are much more accommodating and many shops stay open rather late on a Friday night and open early Sat AM to accommodate such requests.

Also let us know where in Vermont you will be and people can suggest specific shops. For example, in West Dover VT (Mt Snow) there's a little high end shop that specializes n Atomics and generally would have no issue getting it done.

Swisstrader - many thanks for that. We'll be staying a few miles from Bolton Valley and are planning to ski Sugarbush and Stowe. Any particular tips in those parts?
Thanks!

3 more in Stowe - all on the Mountain Road - Skiers Shop, Edgewise and (I think they do mountings) Today's Edge

Think you might be able to find some shop to install bindings if you're carrying a "half rack" . Shop techs love beer!!
