POV Helmet Cameras: Which one to buy?

Hi everyone. As the title says, I am considering buying a POV/Helmet/Action camera to record my skiing adventures. Pricing isnt an issue, and i.am either considering the Contour Roam 2 and the Vio PovHD.
Has anyone had any experiences with either of these cameras (good or bad)? I am also open to other suggestions. Remember, price isnt an issue

I have only used a go pro hd, it took great video but i kinda looked like a tool with a big box on my head. I have been considering the contour because of its more "streamlined" design, also I have only heard good things about it(never used it so i could be wrong.

Yeah i am kind of leaning away from the go pros. As you have said, they are pretty big when theyre on your helmet. Also i have heard they are pretty hard to use with the buttons.

the button lay out was actually nice. granted i spent bout 2 hours with the manual and a video cord trying to make sure i was fluent at using it.

Take a look at the JVC -- best design I've seen and comes with a goggle strap mount.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the 1.5 hour battery life is a bit short for what i am looking for.

GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. I have played with the Hero, Hero 2, Hero 3 Black, iON and a Contour GPS. The Hero 3 is the best, in my opinion. The built in WiFi with remote is nice, and the phone app is easy to use and makes changing settings easy.

If you want to look like a teletubby then GoPro, if not. Contour.

All of the iphone connectivity and what not is fluff. You're not really going to bother looking at the footage till you can get it home and look at it on a computer screen.

I think Contour is way more user friendly when you are actually on the mountain using it

Not released yet, but this Contour knock-off looks interesting for the price:

Here's a side by side comparison of the GoPro Hero 3 vs Contour Roam 2

I know very little about the pros and cons of the various cameras.  I have a Contour Roam, which I like.  Of course on my first run I dropped the lens cap off the chair lift.  When I got home I emailed Contour.  Two hours later I had a return message offering me a free lens cap if I just provided my address.  Tough to beat customer service like that.
