Need advice - My quiver = Dynastar Speed Course ti, K2 Apache Recon, Volkyl Mantra - Do I need a dedicated POW Ski (Nordica Patron)?

Hello, I come to the forum occasionally, but don't post much. I'm an advanced/expert former racer level skier who's skiing over the years has been somewhat influenced by my 5 children (Four between 4-13 who ski w/ me). So I take what I can when it comes to skis - usually hand me downs from my Brother. I prefer my skis to be specialist, and overall not a big fan of the 1 - Quiver ski, even though that's pretty much all we had in the 70's/80's. Anyway, when it's sunny and packed, I'm ripping on the Dynastar (171) and hitting some of the softer bumps. Freaking love that ski - fantastic! Okay, now the question... I need a Powder Ski... The Volkyl Mantra came from an in-law and it's a demo from last year....but decent condition, and I can ski it whenever I want. It's 177. I was going to buy a Nordica Patron (185), but wanted to know if it overlaps too much w/ the Mantra? I want to fly down the powder and I don't really need this ski to be a charger anywhere else. Just a light ski that I can throw around in the fluffy stuff. When it gets really packed, I'll grab the Speed Course. Am I over thinking this? Oh yeah, one more thing...can AT Bindings perform as well as traditional? I was thinking about putting one on the Patron for some casual hiking, but if the performance is impacted, I'd forget it. Thanks!

That was a lengthy post...sorry guys.  I'm meeting the seller of the Patron in one hour (selling new pair w/o bindings for $500), so I'm just asking if I'm overlapping my quiver too much, or if I'll be happy w/ the more dedicated Powder ski.

Thanks again!

The Patron is 113mm wide, the Mantra is 98mm, they are completely different skis.

I wouldn't put a touring binding on the Patron unless you want it to be a touring ski, here's why: I really like the Patron, enough that I convinced a good friend to buy one. He mounted it with a Duke and really disliked it... sort of blamed me for that. I skied it and also hated it, odd. He recently remounted it with a conventional binding and now he loves it. Touring bindings are fine in their element but they change the way a ski feels big time, anyone who claims otherwise is sniffing glue.
