Less forward lean in future Tecnica Jr. Race Boots?

Do you know if the next generation of Tecnica Jr. Race (90) will have less forward lean?  I  have a 21.5 foot and these are the only boots that really work for me.  I would, however, like a more upright stance, I think,

If so, I'd like to wait until next year for a new set up.  I've been in these boots with an old Conformable liner about 10 years old.  The boots are on their fourth season this year (Diablos).

Thanks.

can you get the upper cuff "uprighted" a bit more?   most boot fitter can do something like this for you.

the tecnica 21.5 has not and will not change. it has been the same boot since it was introduced years ago.

they build so few for the world wide market that the company will not be able to justify building a new mold.

there is a possibility that they may discontinue production of this boot in the future. it may be time to stock up on these guys.

I just stocked up and bought 4 more pairs in that size.... ;)   I think that was all that canada had left.

Are there any comparable boots out there worth considering?  I think the Lange is really a 22; am I correct?

not that I know of.   The race 90 is the only "real" 21 with an adult toe/heel

The Dalbello KR2 Kryzma and Chakra are both "real" 21's with adult lugs. These boots also have less ramp and a more upright stance.

My conformable liners are 10-12 years old and may make it through another season.  I wear a brace on one leg (ACL repair) and it's worn the cuff; plus they've packed out a bit.  I teach skiing so I want a really good fit, plus my small foot (street shoe women's size 5) calls for a 21.5.  My shell is a Diablo, on its fourth season.  Still in pretty good shape.

Surefoot told me they could make me a new liner, a little less dense with the foam, in a 21.5 Tecnica.  If I go for this, should I do the whole nine yards; shell plus custom liner?

get the smallest fitting shell you can (both length and width) and add foam,  It will be your best bet.

Is the smallest shell, length and width, the Tecnica?

Is there any chance that a lower volume boot in a 22 will work better for you?  Dalbello and Head both make 95mm lasts in 22.  It isn't always my choice to go longer but sometimes for women with small feet these two work better because they are stiffer more responsive boots than the Tecnica and the lower volume can compensate for the longer length.

I have not seen the dalbello in person, so no idea on the fit of it vs the tehnica.

some of the 22 boots, in 95mm shape fit a tighter heel, then the 21 /98mm (basically what Lou said)

best to try some on and see.   I assume that Lou can ship boots to you?  I know that we can

I know that I had problems with the old Lange Jr. Race boots in 22; they were narrow in the toe box and really pinched my feet.  My feet are small but have the "Fred Flintstone" shape, as one boot fitter called it.  Short but not particularly narrow other than the heel.

What is the width of your foot?  Not in Fred Flintstone size but Brannock, A, B, C, D, etc

Width is a B.  Wear size 5 womens shoes.

Should have asked if you are B women's or men's but no matter.  Don't know where Freddie comment comes from a "B" width ion either gender hardly qualifies as wide.  You should be wearing boots not wider than 98mm and probably a 95mm.  95 doesn't exist in 21 but Dalbello and Head have 22.  Try looking at them.
