Boots from 2001: has boot tech changed much?

Hello,

I used to ski competitively, but a move from the North to the South, and fatherhood, have kept me off the slopes for about a decade.  My old boots are a pair of Lange's that I absolutely loved, but they've sat unused for 10 yrs.  Has boot technology evolved significantly in that time to merit new boots, or if these ones were great for me then, I should expect them to be just as great now?

I will be using demo skis, by the way, as I am pretty sure those will be well-outdated by now.

the liners and shells have changed significantly-----better materials and alignment---if I were you I would consider new boots.
