I am looking to get a new pair of boots because my current boots both don't fit that well and don't offer me the stiffness I feel like I need.  They are flex index 100, but they still feel pretty flexible to me.  I am in the Philadelphia area and the only fitter I can find nearby is Billy Kaplan, but he doesn't sell boots from what I can tell.

How do I go about getting boots in this way?  Can I get enough of a recommendation online to get boots that are close enough, and then take those in to get fitted?  Or do I go into him first and he will give some recommendations, and then I get the boots elsewhere and come back?

Are there other boot fitters in this area (within 2-3 hours) that might work better for my situation?

Thanks for any help!
