My shins are killing me in these boots!

Hi,

So I just bought a brand new pair of Nordica women's ski boots the other day, and I have worn them multiple times around the house just walking, and never had a problem with them! But last night I hit the slopes with them for the first time, and I can't even tell you how much pain I was in! They completely bruised up my shins, black and blue all up and down from where the boot starts to where the top of my ankle is.

I know since they're new they are supposed to be stiff and uncomfortable, but is this normal? I've never broken in a pair of boots before that have caused me this much pain. While I was skiing I adjusted them both tighter and looser and nothing helped...I had thin ski socks on and no clothing on blocking the shin area...so whatsup with dat? Any idea of how I can break them in before I head to the mountain next time?

gurly,

Just asking, have you read this and done a shell fit?

http://www.epicski.com/a/boot-fitting-which-boot-will-work-for-me , it's at the top of ask the boot guy's section.

also try tightening the power strap around the liner only (inside the shell) this will help spread the load on the tongue
