Axis X

Skied the Axis X at Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park City 2 weeks ago for 4 days. Great ski. Very versatile. Despite what many say in this forum, the regular Axis X is more than enough ski for most sane people. Most (not all) skiing the Pro are on that ski because of ego, not because of limitations in performance with the regular Axis X. Either way, the new K2's are awesome.

Unfortunately, took a major header and fractured my tibia at the right knee. Out 3-4 months. Just got 6+ feet of fresh snow here in Cali and I'm hobbling around on crutches. Yeah, I'm real f*****g happy!

Sorry to hear about your knee, skimeister... recover quickly!

I think the AxisX is better looking than the ModX and am preparing to purchase in the 174... my 181 Mods will be next year's rock skis (heh heh heh)... They'll be a year old next month. Couple the above with a pair of the Jerry Launchers, my quiver should be adequate!

Sorry to hear about your injury. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I prefer the Axis Pro over the Axis simply because of the smooth ride that the metal provides. It is a more stable platform and though not as quick as the Axis it is quick enough for any skiing I choose to do. In general, I prefer a metal ski. Much better in crud.
