Really happy I found this site, seems like a lot of good intelligent discussions on all the latest and greatest in the ski world. Here's my situation as of now, I'm 5'10 190 lbs. hard, fast, athletic skier. I've primarily grown up skiing Eastern mountains (Sugarloaf, Whiteface, etc..) Currently I've relocated to California, and Mammoth is now my closet big mountain. I'm a hard charging, frontside skier. Since moving west I've started dabbling off-piste more, and I am now in search of a good all-mountain ski, that'll give me good float in the softer stuff, but help keep my east coast sensibility on the groomed hardpack. I've recently skied on Volkl RTM 84's, and loved them, but the only drawback is in the real heavy stuff they got a bit slogged down. I'm currently looking to demo Armada TST's, Blizzard Bonafides, Rossi E 88's, and Dynastar's Cham 87's, to try a variance of waist widths. Is this a good list, or should I be looking in other areas? Thanks for all the help guys!
