wide stumpy feet. ordered some Fischer Hybrid vacuum 12 plus

Thread Starter

So.   I have wide 108mm feet and about a 26/26.5.  Huge calfs.    Always had trouble with boots and always have to spend numerous hours getting boots expanded, etc.

Current boots are Technica Vento 10 HVL, which I don't really like, but have been wide enough after being expanded.

Anyway.  I was looking at new boots this week, and the fitter showed me the Fischer Vacuum Hybrid 12.  It claims to go up to 108mm.  I found this unbelievable.  I've never been able to find a boot this wide.   They didn't have my size, but are getting some next week.  I put down a deposit since they only had 1 in my size.

Anyone try the hybrid 12s?   I read some of the positive reviews on the other Fischer vacuums.

Thanks,

Jeff

So did you pull the trigger on these, Mogulman1?

I just bought some 2015 Hybrid vacuum 12+ boots in size 31.5.  It's my understanding that the last is 103 mm, not 108.

I haven't skied them yet (obviously), but did get the vacuum fitting done.  They seemed to be a pretty good fit even without the vacuum treatment.  I have a set of the world's skinniest calves, and the fit seemed OK there too.

My feet are 115 wide, skinny ankle & heals, high instep and large calves so i know your pain. Last year I was near SLC so I stopped by DaleBoot out of curiosity. I was really impressed and pulled the trigger, these are the most amazing boots I've ever skied! Find a dealer someplace you can visit twice and you will be happy, comfy & warm!!!

I've put 3 days on these boots.  A slight hot spot on my right ankle the first day, but that went away as the liner started breaking in.  I'm trying to resist the urge to tighten them up too tight first thing in the morning.  Flex seems OK, not as much as I would've thought going from a 90 to a 120 flex boot.  The walk mode doesn't seem to have all that much range of motion, and one day I skied all morning with it in walk mode by mistake and didn't notice.

Dale Boot is the place to go if no factory boot can fit.
