Sir Francis Bacon size question?

I currently am looking to buy a pair of SFB's.  I currently own a pair of Line Influence 105's in 179 and Mr. Pollard Opus in 178.  When I bought the MPO's I wanted 185's but I found a pair of last years model still in the wrapper for $500 so I jumped on them even though they were only 178's.  However I skiied on the 178's and loved them.  I also love my Influence 105's in 179.  My problem is I want to get the SFB's in 178 however my local ski shop only has them in 184 and Line is sold out.  I have done some research and according to Blistergear review the straight tape pull on the 184's is 180.5.  The straight tape pull on my Influence 105's is 177.  I'd really like to buy the skis from my local shop because I like keeping my business in the community will the 184's be ok?  I am 5' 6" weigh 165 and am an expert skiier.  I really like skiing the bumps and steeps.  I love the Line products because all of their skis seem to be fun and playful.  I know that the Opus and SFB's are very similar but I like the idea of a slighter thinner waisted Opus.

Thanks,

Chuck

If you're an expert skier the 184's should not be a problem.

The only risk is getting rid of the Opus because it's gonna start feeling too short! biggrin.gif

I actually thought of that.  But nice to have different size skis.
