Smith I/OX replacement lenses

Has anyone had any luck buying additional lenses for the Smith I/OX goggles? Everywhere online seems to be out of them, including the Smith Optics website. I would really like to purchase the Ignitor mirror lense.

I would send email/call Smith directly and ask they why there is no replacement lenses available! They might be able to give more details on when/why/where

same for other goggles as well

Well obviously I posted about it here so I wouldn't have to do the heavy lifting, but seeing as how no one took the bait I made the call.

CS Rep at Smith Optics told me they should be in at the end of the month.

How hard is for them to put that information on their website! Hate when they to that kind stuff... same for ortovox pretty much everything is not available on their website!

As an authorized Smith Optics dealer, believe me, I can tell you that is frustrating for us as well.  But in their defense, almost every other snow/sport line we've ever worked with operates the same.  There general thinking in speaking with them at OR Winter Markets and reps at optical trade shows etc, is that they are always trying to anticipate the demand for future stock, and manufacturer appropriately.  As the I/OX is brand new, it's still something of an unknown variable for them as far as overall popularity, color preferences, and lens stock that is appropriate to have on hand.

With that said, I can tell you that as of this morning, they show the RC36 and the Red Sensor Mirrors available in the I/OX size.  Most everything else is *supposed* to be available (in varying amounts) on or around the end of the month.  For what it's worth, the I/O and the I/Os aren't much different.  I'll have a chance to talk to the guys directly again at this years Winter Market in three weeks.  If you'd like, I can try to put in a special request for your lens...though for a single lens order, it may not be very fruitful.  Still, I can try if you'd like, and would be happy to do so if you don't have any luck before then.

Best

I laughed when I saw that they RC36 and Red Sensor were the only two available, as they were the two that came with my new I/OX goggles.

I do appreciate your offer, but it won't be necessary, I can wait. Your point about them being new frames and not knowing the demand makes perfect sense, as that is what I figured was the likely case.
