Mike,

Very sorry to hear that. I hope all goes well with recovery. What do doctors say? How long until back skiing?

spknmike - just saw the injury post above. Bummer. Hope you heal up fast. If I actually make it to Silver later this year, I'm counting on you to show me around! And assuming they are running lifts...

I am starting a road trip next week, travelling and staying in a 1991 red and white Dodge with pop-up camper. EpicSki sticker on the door.

I will be at Stevens Pass Jan 23 to25 and then on to Schweitzer Jan 27-29, then Whitewater Jan 30-31 and maybe Red Feb.1. If any of you Bears spot my truck and camper, then knock on the door and lets do a few runs together.

Hey Speedy Telemarker.   Van and Steve told me you kissed the side of the freeway while I was gone.  Are you OK ?  Anything I can do to help or whatever let me know.

I will be parked near the snowcat shop at Whitewater and in the RV parking at Red. At Schweitzer I will park at their shuttle lot in Sandpoint if they let me stay overnight, if not i will be over-nighting at the Walmart.

I[m 5'8" chubby guy wearing a blue R.e.d. Mutiny helmet and red or green jacket.

I don't know why Schweitzer wouldn't let you overnight in the shuttle lot, especially if it's an out of the way parking spot.  I see vehicles there everyday that have clearly been there a loonnnggg time, and they're still there.

Chances are good I'll be up at least one of those days, so I'll try to remember and keep an eye peeled for you.  I'd be easy to spot...one of the few with no helmet.  Gray soft hat and usually a burgundy NF jacket with charcoal accents on sleeves.

Pete,

The knee is getting better. I've been nailing PT and Gym almost on daily basis; stronger now than I was before the surgery. It looks like I will be back to gentle groom skiing this March so I will let you know if I am making it your way - you do the same.

If anyone needs Schweitzer tickets I have some (3) for $50.59 each and will sell at face value. Would need to pickup in Spokane.

(Normal price is $74.24)

The normal price is why I just keep driving to BC, much rather ski Red, White or Fernie if I'm paying that much.
Keep healing Mike, I hope to be skiing soon healing slowly myself.
