I am looking for a ski to replace my 2009 watea 84 in 176cm. They are trad camber version, no early rise. I use them as an all mountain ski, i also have a watea 98 in 176cm for powder / off piste and a pure groomer ski in a salomon aero x. 170cm

Copied this from the advice page and completed the sections

  1. Where in the world are you skiing? Europe

  2. What kinds of terrain do you prefer (groomed runs, moguls, race course, park'n'pipe, trees, steeps, backcountry/sidecountry) These skis will be for bumps, groomers, bit of off piste but not too deep.

  3. How many days a year do you ski? about 40 days

  4. How advanced are you as a skier? Not expert, suppose level 7 to 8, spend alot of my time on the watea 98's sking trees, reasonably steep off piste, enjoy bumps as long as not too tight / icy. Salomon aero x are superb on icy groomers. Don't do park at all, but can ski switch on my watea 98's

What's your height and weight?  weight 168lb's, height 174cm (5 foot 9 inches) age er  49.....

i have a choice of 2011/ 2012 elan apex in 177cm or watea 88 in 176cm, the fischers are 2011 / 2012 model with early rise etc they are for sale locally by someone who purchased too many skis and wants to sell. I can only afford one of them. so which one?

Want them to be an all mountain ski, i.e good in bumps, reasonably grippy on groomers, ok in powder / crud. I like my watea 84's because they are light and quick in bumps etc, but don't like the perfomance on groomers as they get knocked about too much and seem to chatter a lot, but i have got used to it.

They bindings on my watea 84's will be used for these (fks 120 with tweeked brakes)

any suggestions will be useful
