Blue cruisers for my parents

Thread Starter

Hi all and Happy New Year.

I am looking for skis for my parents.  They are both 70+ and still skiing strong :)

They pretty much stick to blue groomed trails.  They can handle double blue/easy black, but then its more navigation than skiing.  Dad sometimes dabbles in the low angle pow on the edges of blue groomers.

Particularly in Utah (Christmas) and also spring trips (early April) they often run into a bit more

snow than they are used to, even on groomers.  (ie clumps that form by mid afternoon)

Dad:  Legend 3800  (114/75/102)    (5'10, ~ 160)

Mom:  Elan Fire Magic  123/74/104  (5'7", ~ 150)

Neither of them carves/rail, so what I would like to do is:

go bigger in the waist while still having a very easy turning ski.

They are both solid intermediate skiers on the terrain they chose to ski.

I'm hoping to keep their current ease of turning on a untracked groomer while giving a bit

more ease on small bumps, clumps and spring mash potatoes.

Any recommendations appreciated, new or used.

Thanks

Brad in Michigan

Brad,
Get a Salomon Rocker 2 90 for your dad and a Rockette 90 with some Z10 bindings and call it good. The skis are very forgiving. Just size them right for their abilities and weights.
