I have a pair of Nordica Sparks that are around 5 years old and have between 300 and 400 days on them. I was putting my boots on the other day and I noticed that there was a tear in the shell. It's kind of hard to describe where it is, but it's on the lower part of the shell, but is on the part of the shell that fits under the upper cuff. Is this fixable? I can't feel too much difference in the way it skis yet, but I don't imagine that this is going to improve my happiness with the boots.
My other question is what causes my boots to do this? this is my second pair of shells to tear in about the same spot. I do usually walk from my car to the lifts with the upper buckles undone but I don't think I'm the only one doing this.
