I agree that a ski like that would be better in those conditions, but I'm sure you're aware that most of the time around here our trails are covered in moguls, so I just want a ski with a tight turning radius, which fat skis tend not to have.
But I know plenty of guys still skiing old school narrow slalom skis that will crush me in any condition on any mountain.
For me I just find the wider rockered skis more fun and playful that's all.
