Going to Stowe for the first time, new/intermediate skier. Tips?

I have been skiing for one year.  I think I have done very well for the amount of time I have skied, but still only a year means I am relatively inexperienced.  I can do the blacks at my home resort, but I am sure they are pretty dinky and easy compared to anything a real resort has to offer.

First, I am not comfortable with trees at all.  I don't trust myself enough yet to be able to navigate terrain where not being able to make tight turns or stop means hitting a tree.  I imagine I will stick to mainly greens and blues.  This is the first real skiing place I am going to, so I am not sure what to expect from blacks.  Will they ALL be out of my league or are there still some easier ones?

Any other tips are appreciated!

Park at and start at Spruce Peak. The whole mountain is almost entirely greens and blues. That is also where most lessons start Stowe for Starters is a pretty good deal in that department.

When skiing on Mansfield, remember that as a general rule the farther you go to skier's right, the easier the trails are, so if you want it easy, just keep turning right.
