AZ Snowbowl 12-27-12

This place was brown 2 weeks ago.  They had a couple good storms (same that hit Wolf Creek) which have been great base builders. I arrived to 6 inch fresh today and after I took the pic below it began snowing and delivered another 4 inches by the time I left.  Overall, an awesome day with nice soft snow and hidden powder stashes.

Nice pic. I grew up skiing there as well as Sunrise. Fond memories of both areas.I remember upper bowl being pretty awesome, that is when they actually opened it.

Snowbowl has some really awesome terrain when the conditions are good.  The upper bowl needs another 1-2 ft of snow to be skiable.  Everything has been blowing off the top of the hill down into the lower bowl which has made some good powder stashes in that area and a good start for a base.
