Ski boot advice, please !?

Thread Starter

Hello:
I am a 51 yr old  5'7" 125 lbs athletic female.  Started skiing in my mid 40's.

I do Volunteer Ski Patrol (to enable my four children to ski - free family passes).

I need better boots (mine are 300 yrs old and cost $2 at Value Village).  My boots have to be VERSATILE ( as a Ski Patrol, I need a boot that will allow an older non aggresive lady like me to "shred" any terrain on the mountain, yet also be comfy enough for non skiing time spent shovelling snow or resetting rope lines), COMFORTABLE and will IMPROVE MY SKIING ABILITY.

I have a very long narrow foot (size 9.5 or 10  AA shoe).

I wear custom orthotics (severe pronation) in  all shoes and ski boots.

Most of our money goes into outfitting our four children, so not much money left over for boots for me.

There are really only two companies making boots readily (kind of) available in widths and flexes for your application. Both Dalbello (Scorpion) and Head (B5) are 95mm boots that come in flexes other than World Cup stiff.  They are in each companies catalogue and will be stocked by some shops.  I may be able to help but there will be some shops in the U.S. as well.
