2012 Head Edge+ 11 Boot Review (Larger Feet)

Just want to post a short review of the Head Edge+ 11 Boots

I am taller skier (6'8") and weigh 265lbs,(int/adv. level) if your are in this neighbor hood or just taller and bigger you know what a pain in the a$$ it is to get equipment that is not made for all the Oompa-Loompas out there!

Almost all the boots out there in larger sizes are in very light flexes. 50-70. I were a 32 boot and was searching high and low looking for a performance boot that has a comfort fit.

I tried on several boots, Salomon IMPACT CS100 in a 31.5, Atomic LF 120 31.5. Both boots were nice but just did not seem right. I then came across the Head Edge+ 11 in a 32 and this was like Cinderella putting on the glass slipper. In the 32 the sole length is only 365mm which was a big plus (the other two 31.5 boots were 361mm)

These boot have an adjustable flex 80/90 and fit like a glove. First time skiing a boot and not having to stop because they were killing my feet. They have a 104mm last and hold your heel nice and tight. The actual foot bedding is of higher quality and has an arch, they are just not pieces of foam.

So if you a taller advanced skier with more leverage and power than the average Oompa-Loompas or a larger frame guy that needs a stiffer boot and wants performance and comfort I would highly recommend the Head Edge+ 11 boot.
