waterproofing your gear

Is there a good product to spray on your pants and jacket's to keep the them waterproof, my ski pants are just over a year old and have noticed they don't shed the water as well as they were when they were brand new

It may be possible its because your pants are dirty especially after only 1 year. Try washing them first with specialized stuff which is a step youll have to do prior to re waterproofing anyway. Google and take a look at the info about nikwax techwash. It is often oils or old detergent that makes the fabric not shed water. Then if really the dwr is gone, nikwax has products to add a layer of that. Available at rei if you want it instore
