Gear Experts - Binding Mount Position

What the effects of mounting a binding  Centered - Forward - Back on skis.  Is there a difference between conventionally cambered skis and rockered skis ?

I am thinking there is more to this than I might expect.  I really don't know the relationship of skiing a particular ski when it comes to these  mechanical configurations.

Explanation anyone ?

That's a dissertation.  eek.gif

Some companies indicate the mounting position for most skiers. Reliably IMO. I use it for my skis currently.

There are theories that the correct position can be mathematically calculated, or extrapolated by an adjustment to the manufacturer's line.

I once couldn't handle a ski very easily so I moved the binding forward. I noticed that I had a lot more tail now.   wink.gif
