It was pretty clear. The fact that you, three pages of posts on, and other posters continue to try to distort those clear words suggests something else is going on. You got to have fun congratulating yourself that you ski at a resort where avalanches are in your words "common..." but in the real world, inbounds avalanches on open slopes are not common, even at your resort, so your chest-beating there is a bit hollow. So, maybe go back and read the actual words used in the actual posts in this thread. Think about your motivations, and what you are arguing.
Merely pointing out reality is not congratulating oneself. It would also be stupid considering half the people (or more) on this forum ski at resorts where avalanches are a legitimate issue. But you can project whatever you want - so have fun with that.
Also, statistically speaking, car accidents are "rare" in proportion to the massive number of cars on the road each day - so why wear a seat belt, right?
