Todays my 1 year anniversary.  Its been a long road. Many thanks to all here who have been dealing with their own injuries and those who had ACL replacements and offered great advice and encouragement.

Happy Anniversary Finndog!

Mine is 4 years old and I'm racing with no bracing and have no issues at all.

Yaaaaa, Finn. Mine's coming up.

Graphic?  I've scraped my knees up worse than that as a kid.  Looking forward to this Feburary in Steamboat - don't screw it up before then!

Congratulations, Finn!

We were hobbling around about the same time then.  Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of fracturing my proximal tibia.

Good to see that you're back out there!

Thanks Pete, yes, from the boat. I am out there often now. I am normally there already and would be knee high right now but staying home this year till Christmas day.

Congrats.  Looking good (2nd picture that is).

Are you ready to ski the Tahoe Snow you missed last year at the Gathering?

Nice! Good for you! Enjoy your skiing this year , sorry you missed last year, I hope this one is better!

Ever bleed a tuna? Now that is graphic. :-)

Nice rehab Finn, ahhhh, to be on the snow again.

You were a little bloodier than me.

I've got a little happy face scar on my knee to remind me of my ACL replacement.

I wear my brace when I ski, just as a reminder to slow down a touch.  Kinda like tying a string around your finger.

Congrats on your return! Make sure you take every day you should, and sneak in a few extras too...

Congrats Finn - keep it going. Hope the Boat get more than enough this year.

"out there often" .....   Know you speak of retiring there, how close are you to your goal?   You cutting back in NJ stuff or just moving it west or a mix?  What of the gathering this spring?

The no brace feeling is freaking awesome isn't it! Congrats Finndog.

I dont recall my knee looking quite that bloody/ bruised after surgery, then again I dont recall alot of things from then thanks to percocet.

Hope you have an epic year!

thanks!  I has severe bruising but my guess its just me. I had very small incisions.  Fortunately, the ankle finally healed up well enough and the shoulder is improving but more than fine for skiing.

I am in BC cat skiing for a week January 10th so I am so psyched. I had to cancel the trip last season.

here's day 14- looking much improved
