Unique Feedback

Could not find an Epicski forum that seemed to fit my question.

I've been here a couple of months. On the profile page I see the following:

Feedback                4

Feedback received   3

Feedback given       1

Unique feedback      3

I can see the details of my feedback received and the one given.

I realize feedback given and received is a result of clicking the "thumbs up" icon under a post. What is unique feedback? The thought has crossed my mind that it is just a total of feedback received, but that does not answer "why" for a repetitive category.

Look at the details for the Feedback you received.  Should be 4 of them from 3 different people.

Well yes, I did know that. So the unique feedback is merely a reiteration? wondering if it has other meaning as in feedback from other people not listed.

I just guessed based on the numbers on my profile when there were under 20 for both categories so it was possible to get a quick count.  Hopefully someone who knows more will see your question in the next day or two.

If you have a total of 20 under each category that is enough confirmation for me.

Thanks marznc

Some members have more reputation power than others as a result of their feedback scores.  For example when Crgildart gives you a thumbs-up it is worth 3 points due to his high (over 300) score.  The moderators also have higher feedback power, so you will see only one unique feedback, but get 3-4 points if we click the feedback.

In general, the feedback system should not be considered as a reflection of your value to the community.  In my experience feedback is often given for trivial posts that others agree with or find humerous, while a very detailed technical review of gear or coaching may not get feedback at all.
