Vail Resort Stock (MTN)

Does anyone know if you get any sort of benefits, i.e. discounts, occasional coupons, etc., for being a stock holder if one uses any of the resort they own?

Has anyone invested in the company and what are your thoughts of the company as an investment?

thanks

I bought a little stock just for fun way back when it was first offered and there are no discounts (or at least I don't know about any).

I just started working for Vail this season, but haven`t looked at the financials.  So far I have been impressed with the people, the training provided and the attitudes they try to instill in the employees.

This December is better in terms of snow than last December, but we are still below average for the season...mentally, I think much of the public gets influenced too much by the recent past, so another poor snow year could get people to start looking elsewhere even if the next few years turn out to be great.

Stock ownership gets you no additional benefits.

We actually had more terrain open at this time last year. They did not encounter the warm spell in late October last year that interrupted snow making this year.

Maybe more terrain open mid-December last year, but I`ll bet this December gets more snow with a higher quality of skiing...I didn`t ski last X-mas, but heard things were pretty hard (and thin)...Neighbors told me that they still had grass showing in their yard in January...unless they are wrong about the forecast, it should be softer and whiter this year.

So what do you do for Vail?

That's too bad, would of been a nice incentive especially for such an expensive stock at its current price and valu.
