Q: Using Rossignol Axium 120L TPI2 (2010/2011) Bindings‏ with Rossignol Experience 83 (2012/2013) Skis

Hi All: I have a pair of Rossignol Axium 120L TPI2 (2010/2011) bindings that I'd like to use with my new Rossignol Experience 83 (2012/2013) skis. Just wondering if its OK to use the 2010/2011 bindings with the 2012/2013 skis? I know the bindings are correct for these skis. The store I bought the skis from said the bindings have to be the 2012/2013 model which I don't understand why (think they're just trying to make me spend more money). Thanks in advance. -drp37

Mounting that binding on the new skis is OK.

Your E83s need to have the TPX system to mount the TPI2 binding on them.  If the ski does have the TPX system, the shop may not want to sell it without the included system binding since they have to buy them from Rossi as a set and won't have any use for an extra set of system bindings with no ski to put them on.

Are you sure you have a TPI2 binding and not just a regular axium 120?

@ShopRatAnon...

Yes, the TPI2 binding I have is for the TPX system.  Whether they want/can/able to sell is one thing and I can understand Re: inventory allocation.  It's just that they out right said the 2010/2011 model cannot be used with the 2012/2013 skis.
