Look on ebay for the same equipment and price accordingly.  Look for completed auctions if available.

You do realize there are ski areas in the mid Atlantic states don't you?  There really isn't any need to give it up because you're moving to NC.  Ober Gatlinburg is pretty close to Asheville.

Welcome to EpicSki!

So are you giving up skiing forever?  Or just going to buy new stuff at some later date.  Where were you skiing in NY?

Where are you ending up in NC?  Ober is in TN.  Cataloochee is south of Asheville and there are two places farther north near Boone, Sugar and Beech.  Pretty close for folks in the Charlotte or Winston-Salem/Greensboro area.  WV and VA have other possibilities.  Other than Snowshoe, the slopes are relatively short but still fun to be had.

Wow, you have a lot of "never used" stuff.

I wish I could tell you that you'll get a lot out of it, but the Hawx boots are probably not going to draw much $$ because most folks don't buy used boots, even if they're not "used"

The Dynastar SF skis won't sell for much more than 50.00 if they are what I think they are.

The Goode Ski poles are great poles and should fetch the most penny on the dollar for what you spent on them.

All in all, for the $$ you'll get, you may be better off keeping them and skiing close to your new home, or use the gear for ski trips.

If you want to sell the stuff, you may get a couple hundred dollars total for all of it.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I don't think I'm off the mark by much.

You're being quite generous for around here...

Boots - $80

Bindings - $50 if taken off the ski, probably less since they have narrow brakes.

Poles - $25  The people who pay premium for "as new condition" are also the people who buy poles in shops.

Total: $155, and that's in a seller-friendly market.

The skis are worth $binding money.   In other words, the skis and bindings together are worth about the same as the bindings are if (s)he removes them.

What /I/ would do is donate the skis and bindings to a charity willing to take them (they're about as vintage as Pentium 3 desktop computers), keep the boots and poles (I'm assuming the boots are comfortable), and find some modern skis locally after the move.

I live near Knoxville, and ski Ober Gatlinburg. It's not too bad. It's just that once we get snow, I hardly ever get to ski more that 4 or 5 days a week. And 12 hours a day on the weekends. biggrin.gif

I wish I lived in NC, I'd ski more.
