Seeking feedback on new ski app

Hi guys, I'm totally new here and wanted to reach out to get your feedback on our new ski apps.

We just launched AllSnow which is an app for Android & iPhone that allows you to get weather & ski condition information and we'll be updating it in a few weeks to allow you to track your day on the mountain. What I could really use your help with is download the app on your Android or iPhone which you can do here <http://allsnow.com/mobile> and then letting us know what we're missing and how we can make it better. Feedback is super helpful and we'll work to get it integrated as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to contributing more the forum moving forward.

Here's some feedback.  You list tiny ski areas in Montana like Showdown but Whitefish Mountain isn't listed.  Discover Ski is actually Discovery Ski Area.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Good catch on "Discovery". I've gone ahead and updated which you should be able to see if you refresh the results.

The app does include Whitefish (see screenshot below). If it wasn't in the list of nearby resorts in the Browse tab then you should be able to search for it by name by going to the top of the list and then can add it to your favorites.

Let me know if you notice anything else or have other feedback about the functionality of the app.

I checked it out today and the data for my home mountain (Stevens Pass, WA) is all kinds of wrong.  First of all, it's 10:50 pm on Tuesday right now and the snow report says last updated 10:02 AM Monday... 36 hours ago?  Other problems: it says 18" in the last 48 hours.  If we're talking Monday, that's wrong, it should have said 23".  If it was from today, that should say 32".  Also, it says 6 of 10 lifts running, both yesterday and today they had 4 lifts running, so that's wrong.  The weather is wrong, it's possibly Seattle weather instead of weather at the ski area?  Lists the high today as 55 degrees, the forecasted high up there today was in the low 30's.  Actual high based on telemetry was 34.  Lift ticket prices are wrong.  It says $60 and it's really $65.  Under Location, it lists it as Skykomish, WA, 45 miles away.  The town of Skykomish is technically 47 miles from my house, as the crow flies, per google maps.  So that's basically correct, but not useful at all since it's a 69 mile drive.  Also, even though Steven's Pass physical address is Skykomish according to their website, the ski area is another 16 miles up the road, or 60 miles from my location as the crow flies.  So in short, that 45 mile number, while possibly accurate in a sense, is useless.  The Trails section is missing every double black diamond run.  I didn't bother to check the accuracy of the rest of the list that is displayed, but it also says there are 34 total runs despite the fact that the main page says 8 of 37 under the runs open section.

So, there appears to be more wrong info on that page than right info.

Actually, it's Whitefish Mountain Resort.   The MOUNTAIN'S name is Big Mountain.  It's the RESORT'S name that is Whitefish Mountain Resort.

@jaobrien6 Thanks for pointing out all the issues with Stevens. I updated what I could on our end (lift ticket cost, added double black runs to the list of trails, etc) but unfortunately we use the same snow report provider as The Wall Street Journal and USA today who gets the snowfall totals and lift/run status from the mountains themselves. I pinged them to figure out why Stevens hasn't been updated for a couple days since that definitely sucks. Hopefully they'll be able to make some progress there.

Regarding the distance, it's supposed to give you a rough idea how far you are as the crow flies and you can get more detailed info by clicking on the "Driving directions" button. I totally get your feedback here so point taken.

I really appreciate you letting us know what's what.

I have uninstalled this from my phone.  It is so wrong it is a joke, not even consistent with itself.  Today I got an Allsnow alert of 6" at Big Sky, but when I started the app it shows 0" for Big Sky and that is what BS reports.  The app shows 5" for Red Lodge Mountain but RLM reports 0".  It is obvious you are not getting data from the ski areas.  It has been consistently wrong for at least 2 weeks so enough is enough.
